Rudson® Blue DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) is formulated with high-quality urea and demineralized water to work with all diesel engines equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR). Rudson® Blue DEF is a non-toxic solution composed of 67.5% water and 32.5% automotive-grade urea. It is a stable, colorless, and odorless fluid.

The use of Rudson® Blue DEF will vary depending on the vehicle. Most Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) estimate consumption to be 2-3% of diesel fuel usage. On average, this equates to one gallon of DEF for every 50-75 gallons of fuel. Refer to the owner’s manual for the proper usage in your vehicle.
DEF reacts with certain metals, such as aluminum, copper, and brass. Therefore, only store DEF in tanks and dispensing equipment made of stainless steel or high-density polyethylene.

PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES DEF should be stored at temperatures between 12 and 80 degrees F in a dry, well-ventilated area. It should also be kept out of direct sunlight. Exposure to higher temperatures for short periods of time should not affect product quality.

FIRST AID TREATMENT:

    • If it gets in eyes: If irritation or redness occurs, move away from exposure to fresh air. Rinse eyes with clean water. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention.
    • If it gets on skin: Remove affected clothing and shoes and thoroughly clean the affected area(s) by washing with mild soap and water. If irritation or redness persists, seek medical attention.
    • If vapors are inhaled: Move to fresh air. If breathing difficulty occurs or persists, seek medical attention.
    • If ingested: DO NOT induce vomiting. Seek medical attention if symptoms develop.
